Don Errick Montra “Donny” Harper, known professionally as D-Maub (an acronym for “Dedicated to Making All Underestimaters Believers”), is an American Christian hip hop artist born on March 13, 1978. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was born, raised, and still resides with his wife and children.
D-Maub’s journey into Christian hip hop was deeply influenced by personal experiences, particularly the loss of his mother in 1997. This pivotal event led him to reevaluate his life and ultimately embrace Christianity, introduced to him by his childhood friend Robert “Lazarus” Smith. D-Maub began using his musical talents to share his testimony and spread a positive message rooted in his faith, aiming to draw people to Christ through engaging lyrics and energetic beats.
He launched his music career with the release of his first studio album, Timeline, in 2005 under his own label, One Route Entertainment. His discography includes several albums, such as The Unexpected (2002), Tymeline (2005), Life Over Death (2007), The Release (2008), Urban Legend (2008), and The Follow Up EP (2009). D-Maub has also been featured on the Holy Hip Hop: Takin’ the Gospel to the Streets Volume 4 compilation and has collaborated with notable artists like Nicole C. Mullen, Bootsy Collins, K-Drama, Karen Clark Sheard, and Tye Tribbett
